So Ryan and I had an awesome 4th of July weekend. Ryan's family came down to Provo to celebrate with us, so the weekend was full of fun things to do. My favorite part was definitely going to the hot air balloon festival they had in the mornings. I went on Friday morning with Ryan and Natalie and Logan on Saturday morning. We had to be there at 6:30 am to see them blowing up the balloons, but it was totally worth it. It was so cool to be so close to them, feel the heat from the fire as they blew up, and see the picturesque scene as they took off one by one. Here are some of our pictures from that:

It was so cool when they were all up in the air! So colorful!

Thursday evening Ryan and I went to the Freedom Days festival where we walked around the booths and got to see some Polynesian and regular dancing. It was so fun for me to see a little dance studio perform! It definitely reminded me of my days dancing at little fairs in Mesa. Also, there was a "banana stand" selling chocolate covered frozen bananas, which are my very favorite thing to get at Disneyland. (Also, for anyone who watches Arrested Development, they had a type of banana called the Gob :) ). Sadly, the stand only took cash and we had none, but I wanted one so badly we walked down to the Wells Fargo and walked through the drive-thru ATM to get some cash. I just had to laugh at us standing in line with a bunch of cars. And the banana was totally worth it!
Another funny thing that happened at the Freedom Days festival was how many comments I got about my growing belly. I guess I haven't been out in public much lately, but I guess it's true that my belly has grown very noticeablely. Anyways, it was nice for people to say how cute it is and such. Here's the latest picture, taken Sunday at 28 weeks:

Once Ryan's family got here on Friday, the weekend really took off. Thanks so much Paul and Cindy for all the fun and everything this weekend! We went swimming at their hotel (ok, I didn't go, but Ryan and the little ones and Meagan and Jim went), got a travel system for little Schuetzler baby on the way, and got to go out to eat. On Saturday morning I took the little ones to the 4th of July parade, where I think their favorite part was watching Natalie's little baby, Logan, "dance" to the parade music. Then we went to Tucano's for lunch (thanks again!) and afterwards took a nap, which I was very grateful for.
That evening we went to the Stadium of Fire, which was way cool! It was a little better this year than last year because both Ryan and I studied up on the Jonas Brothers songs so we could sing along. I also knew almost all of the SheDaisy songs too! Woo hoo! Here's some pics from that:

Here's where Ryan was showing Dallen his best dance moves:

Here's Meagan and Maren, singing along to the Jonas Brothers:

On Sunday we had a picnic up Provo Canyon, where the highlight was Ryan and Meagan and the kids standing in the freezing stream throwing rocks back and forth. Ryan was the manager and also the heavy lifter so he made sure they did a lot productive things like build a dam and unbreak a dam. I even got in for a little while, but it was way too cold for me to stand very long!

Looks like you had a fun weekend! I love that the banana stand had a Gob banana!
