Hyrum’s 13th Month

So, it’s time for me to update about Hyrum’s new activities! It doesn’t seem like that much has changed, but I’ll write what I can think of.

• Hyrum LOVES computers. When I’m not looking, he’ll sneak over to mine and play with the keyboard and mouse. He has his own keyboard to play with, but he doesn’t want that one, he wants the one Mommy uses that will change the screen.

 

• Hyrum has learned how to knock and will now do it on any surface he finds available. He learned how from his favorite book, which is still Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?

• Hyrum has joined the nursery, and loves it. He isn’t really old enough, but Ryan and I got called as nursery leaders, so he gets to come :)

• He still likes to play outside, and recently he has learned to walk up the steps at the playground (holding the side rails) and wait for my hand so he can go down the slide. This is nice because that means I don’t have to go up the steps with him!

• He’s getting really tall and can now reach the counters in the kitchen, which means I have to remember not to put anything near the edge of it.
• He is starting to run, but he isn’t very fast yet (thank goodness!). He also likes to walk backwards, which looks really funny. It’s kind of like he’s practicing a moon walk or something!
