Zane now rolls to his side from his back. He even had a week where he was rolling from his tummy to his back, but he seems to have forgotten how since then!
Hyrum showed me a picture he drew and told me, “This is a picture of all my friends with broken hearts. Their hearts are broken because they miss me.” That definitely made me smile!
Ryan and I celebrated Pi Day with some yummy Hershey pie at 9:26 pm on March 14th, 2015 in honor of the coolest Pi day ever!
Hyrum was eating spaghetti at his friend’s house, but ended up not eating very much of it, so his friend’s mom put it in a little container for him to bring home. He told her, “thanks! Now I won’t have to dream about it.”
When we’re out in a crowd or a new place, Cora likes to stay by me until she feels comfortable. She’s also adorably shy around strangers, only giving little smiles and hiding behind me when they talk to her.
Ryan took some selfies this month. I’m not sure why, and neither is he, but here is my handsome husband:
Zane grew like crazy this month. It seems like I blinked for a second and all of the sudden he sprouted 3 inches and gained 5 pounds!
My parents took the kids to Amazing Jake’s this month, and it was really fun! They had a yummy buffet, tons of arcade games, and a few fun rides, including a train that Cora loved.
That same weekend, me and the kids went to Siona’s 8th birthday party, which was a Frozen-luau theme. They got to make candy leis!
Zane always wants to be around people. He will cry if he can’t see anyone around him. Even if he’s sleeping in the car seat or something, he will occasionally open his eyes just a tiny bit to make sure he isn’t alone. Lucky for him, he has two siblings who love to be around him!
If someone does something that makes Cora mad (almost always Hyrum), she says, “I’m mean at you!” and makes a pouty face and crosses her arms. So cute! She gets “mean” and “mad” mixed up.
The kids were eating hard-boiled eggs, and Cora had taken the yolk out of hers and eaten half the egg white. She held up the other half and told us, “looks like a potty!”
Zane will now stand with support, and loves to do it. The BYU picture is his smile after he rolled over!
Hyrum has made a few requests for the house we are hoping to get in Omaha when we move this summer. Most notably he wants a pool, 100 stairs, and an escalator (that was after he requested an elevator and I told him that most regular people don’t have elevators in their houses). I hope he won’t be disappointed in our regular little house when we get one
When a face comes into his view, Zane will usually study it for a bit, then smile and turn away shyly. It’s very cute!
Here is Cora and Hyrum “doing Daddy’s treatment”:
Ryan has started having the kids act out the scriptures to try to get them to listen at least a little bit. Cora always wants to be the Lamanites or the king! And Hyrum likes to be anybody who is fighting.
The kids decided to start dragging each other around the other day, although Cora had a harder time with it than Hyrum.
Cora is officially potty trained! She has only had a couple of accidents this month and I hardly ever have to remind her to go to the bathroom. Yay!
Hyrum says weird things to Zane like, “I’ll love you ‘til you die!” and “I’m going to miss you when you grow up.” We have since talked more about how families are forever, but he keeps saying these funny things. He really loves his little brother!
Cora is always dancing and singing something. She hardly ever asks me to do something for her without some sort of arabesque or twirl while she’s talking. Or she’ll sing her request to me. She asks me about every other day when she will go to dance class!
The kids have started building a “Paw Patrol House” out of our couch cushions upstairs and will spend a good amount of time hanging out in there.
Here is Zane’s first time in the Jumperoo! As soon as we put him in, he started chewing on it. He has since started to bounce in it a little.
