Zane has started to really like the tablets this month, though he isn’t very good at sharing them:
He’s also learned to climb the ladder on our playset out back! It’s a little terrifying for me, but convenient that he go up and down the slide as many times as he wants:
Hyrum has become cobra-obsessed. He did a school report on them this month, and now all he talks about and wants is a cobra!
I was looking for something and Cora told me she would help, then said, “I have good eyes with my hands like glasses!”
Zane learned to point to his belly and nose this month! He is behind with his language skills, but this is the month where he has finally started to progress again!
Me, Cora, and Zane went to the Lauritzen Gardens this month on a day that it was free. It was pretty warm, and a lot of the flowers hadn’t bloomed yet, but it was still pretty!
I sure love this man:
Happy Mother’s Day to me! We had a big Pinterest fail on a PB chocolate cake we tried to make for Mother’s Day- though it still tasted good
Zane LOVES to swing, it turns out. Though he won’t sit still for a second at church or during a movie, he will happily sit on a barely-swaying swing for an hour:
Zane started nursery this month, and we are SO glad! He cried a lot his first Sunday in there without us, but it has decreased each time we’ve sent him in so hopefully someday soon he won’t cry at all.
My parents visited us in May, just in time to do Books on the Lawn for Hyrum’s kindergarten class:
They also went with us to the Renaissance Fair! The kids liked the Whip Master, the fire dancer, and the jousting, but their all-time favorite thing was the big inflatable pillow to jump on:
Cora told me she was doing a “Feet headstand. (See?) You’re walking!” Cora is also such a great sister- she’ll even “read” to Zane when he wants!
As soon as Cora’s 4th birthday was over, she started talking about her next birthday, which she calls her “Belle birthday”.
Hyrum’s Last Day of School! I can’t believe it’s done already! He had an amazing teacher and a great year!
Hyrum received the “Super Scientist” award from his teacher because he was always telling his teacher something new about snakes!
After we picked up Hyrum from his last day of school (it was a half day), we had an after-school picnic in our backyard:
And we cleaned out the kids’ school things and took pictures of some of our favorites:
We had a BBQ to celebrate the end of Cora’s co-op preschool, and she got a little graduation bear and her ABC book she worked on all year!
Memorial Day weekend we went strawberry picking with some friends and then made a TON of jam with it!
I sure do love cuddling with my kids!
