March 2019

Google liked reminding me this week how much my kiddos have grown:

Hyrum, 2011 and 2019:

Zane, around 1 year old and 4 years old:

Ivy, 1 month old and 2 years old:

Ryan and I went to On Your Feet! this month, and we loved it! I was definitely dancing in my seat:

Ivy has discovered the high heel dress up shoes, and she loves them:

The kids love to steal my phone and take silly pictures:

We've been doing some home scripture study this year every night, and one night we were talking about how Jesus healed a leper. We asked the kids if they knew what a leper was, and Cora answered, "it turns into a leprechaun!"

One afternoon I just found these kids all cuddled up in the same blanket, reading together. Love these moments:

Ever since we saw Mary Poppins Returns, Hyrum is very concerned with judging a book by it's cover. He even told me how he judged a book by its cover, and how wrong he was because he loved it!

We got a record amount of snow from Jan-Mar this year, including a blizzard, with no major melting in between, which ended up looking like this mid-March:

There was a good few feet of snow on the ground:

The snow actually all melted in a few days, when it also rained a lot (while we were in Arizona), and ended up causing the worst flooding in the Omaha area in over 60 years. It's been a big deal around here ever since.

Ryan took Hyrum on a father-son date to Dave and Buster's! Hyrum LOVED it!

When we got back from Arizona, it was still Spring Break, so while Cora was at Disneyland I took the other three to to the zoo one day:

Zane loves to tell me how beautiful I am, and that he loves me so much he wants to marry me. I tell him we can't get married, but we can still be together forever because we're a family that is sealed in the temple!

One day he even told me: Mommy, you're so beautiful. And powerful.
Love his compliments!

St. Patrick's Day leprechaun treasure hunt!

They found the pot of gold!

Love these little leprechauns:

Pesto pasta, peas, Irish soda bread, and rainbow jello for dinner on St Patrick's Day, with homemade shamrock shakes for dessert!

It finally got warmer and we've been enjoying some walks and bike rides!

Ivy loves to roll around on floor lately- who knows why.

Zane was eating cheese one day and told me, "cheese fills me with cheese power!"

After every bath, these two curl up under their towels and pretend to be eggs, and I have to guess what will hatch out of them. Usually it's a monster or some sort of animal, but they surprise me sometimes!

I taught preschool again this month, and we did United States of America theme. Something must have sunk in, because different of the kids have mentioned flags, the song Yankee Doodle, and "United States of America" to me since then! Zane also likes to point out every flag we see now too!

Part of the unit was learning about where we live, so the kids built houses to put on a street:

Ivy thinks she's a preschooler too:

We made some American apple pie in the unit too:

We also watched some exploding "fireworks" and made red, white, and blue necklaces:
One of our neighbors had an impromptu ice cream party in their driveway (I love where we live!!):

Fun times with Daddy:

Whenever I tell Ivy "no" these days, she says, "I want to!"

Who doesn't love pushing their tablet around in the stroller?

Matchy-matchy:

 Sometimes this baby won't sleep:

 Quality brother-sister time:
The kids' elementary school had the Pancake Man come for dinner one night, and the kids loved it!
Little partners in crime, stealing my phone and hiding under the table to take pictures:

Ryan and I went to the musical Come From Away at the end of the month. I really loved it (kind of surprisingly):

Hyrum participated in (his last?) pinewood derby this month! He designed and decorated it himself, and created it with some help from Ryan:

His car did great! He got second most of the time, and ended up 4th in his age division. His car won the award for "most natural" because he painted a sun and a tree on it:

Sisters!

I tried to get a good Easter picture to send to the grandparents this month, and these were literally the best we got. This is entirely why we have to pay someone to take pictures for us!
