May 2023

I can't believe how much my kids have grown!

Hyrum got to play with our neighbor's gecko and it was pretty cool:

Ryan and I took Hyrum to do baptisms at the temple for some family names this month:
Ivy loves to do Daddy's hair:

Zane made this fun little sculpture from some air-dry clay:

We celebrated May the 4th (Star Wars Day) with some fun snacks. We had blue milk, Star Wars goldfish, Leia buns (honey buns), and some light saber pretzels:

Ivy celebrated Queen day at school this month and got a crown and a wand:

James' family came and hang out one Friday night and the kids had fun playing games together:

Zane had his last couple soccer games of the season this month, and his last game even included a super amazing save as goalie! Grandma and Grandpa Martin even got to see one of his games:

Zane also got to read the story he wrote and illustrated about an alien to the class and their parents one day, and it was fun to be able to go watch him do that:

Ivy was sick for her class' teddy bear picnic field trip, so we did a little indoor picnic at home with teddy bears and a snack:

I took Ivy to the dino museum one day this month:

On a different day, I took Ivy and her best friend to the natural curiosity museum. They had a fun time putting on a play for me and getting wet (and dried off) at the water play area:

I took Cora shopping for some high-heeled church shoes this month, and she had fun trying on some funky sunglasses:

This was our last Wednesday lunch just the three of us, since the jr high won't get out so early on Wednesdays next year and Ivy will start full day school in the fall! We went to Pizza Pie Cafe:

Ivy had fun at the park this month, especially the swings:
Cora got a foot bath pedicure set from Grandma and Grandpa Martin for her birthday, and she had fun trying it out this month!
Ivy got a slip n'slide from Grandma and Grandpa Martin for her birthday, and the kids had fun trying that out this month too:

I took Hyrum and his best friend out to lunch and ice cream on their last half day of the school year!
School projects the kids wanted pictures with:

I also thought this was an amusing goal of Zane's that he wrote down. It explains a lot about why he keeps wanting to try a brand new sport:

Twinsies!

On the last day of school, I let Hyrum have a get together with some of his friends. They ate pizza and brownies, played video games, and jumped on the trampoline:

While the teenagers had their party at our house, I took the kids to the new Little Mermaid movie:

Cora got to participate in the Color Run fundraiser at the elementary school this year and had a great time (the other kids were all sick):

Happy Mother's Day to me! I got so many nice handmade gifts from the kids, as well as a fun book and a car detailing!

Ryan and I went to see Hello Dolly at the Hale Theatre in Sandy and it was AMAZING! One of my favorite stage productions I've seen in a long time:

Ryan and I also went to see Smash Mouth's concert at the Scera this month. It was fun to relive the old days and hear their songs!
