We had a fun time camping at Payson Lake with our friends again this year! Before we went to the campsite we went on a family hike to Double Falls, which was right near our campsite. We were the only ones on this hike the whole time, which is pretty rare for Utah Valley! We even thought we heard a moose for awhile, but I'm pretty sure it was actually just some cows. There were also pretty trees and wildflowers:
The view from the top of the falls:
There was a rope we had to hold onto to get up and down to the falls:
The falls were very pretty!
Chillin at the campsite:
Hot dogs and s'mores for dinner:
The kids had fun playing "Among Us" and Zane and his friend put on a little Newsies show for us:
It was beautiful to watch the fire and see the stars at night. There had also been a few bear sightings the day before we got to our campsite, so we were all a little nervous about bears. I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but was scared to go alone because we didn't have bear spray or anything, so I made Ryan wake up and go with me in the middle of the night. He sure is a nice husband!
The next morning we headed to the lake for some kayaking and SUP. It is a beautiful place!Cora, Zane, and their friends had a fun time jumping off the SUP and playing out on the lake together:
Ivy has become quite the little kayaker this summer, and she loves to go out on her kayak:
Lunch and lots of snacks under the canopy:
We had so much fun camping and kayaking with our friends!
