Hyrum likes me to kiss his “owies” (which sounds like “howies” when he says it). However, when I’m not around or unwilling, Hyrum will kiss his own owies and say mmmwahs! Ryan has even tricked him into trying to kiss an owie on his head. It is so funny to see him try!
My niece and Hyrum were playing the piano the other day- I think she was teaching him some things!
Hyrum pretends to sleep any time he’s on a bed. He just lays his little head on a pillow and says “ah-shoo", ah-shoo” with his eyes wide open :)
They match!
Hyrum is pretty much obsessed with Angry Birds. He says “burs” many times a day, wanting to play. It’s like he knows if he says it enough he’ll wear me down. Most of his birds end up going the opposite direction from the goal, though.
Here he is, playing Angry Birds (don’t worry, I limit his game time)
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but Hyrum used to be pretty fastidious. He still is pretty concerned with cleanliness, but he is getting better. He likes to use a napkin with every meal, because he doesn’t like his hands dirty. He LOVES to wash his hands. He doesn’t like dirty things to touch him either. Sometimes he reminds me a tiny bit of Monk…
Hyrum LOVES Blue’s Clues. We watch it on Netflix streaming during his treatment, and he has picked up a lot of things from it. Whenever we go get the mail, he likes to hold a letter and do the “we just got a letter” dance while I sing. He also will put one hand on his face, then the other one while he says “think, think, think.”
Hyrum thought this chair at my Aunt’s house was a thinking chair. Here he is doing his “think, think, think” routine:
Mindi took some nice pics of Hyrum around her neighborhood, and here are my favorites:
This kid is always running!
Sounds like our kids would be friends. :) Madelyn loves Blue's Clues and Angry Birds too! And her birds always end up going the wrong way. What's up with that? Cute pictures! He is a handsome little man!
