I realized I didn’t post any of the things Ryan and I have done in our last post, so here’s an update on us.
We have tried to continue our at-home date nights, though we haven’t been super-consistent with them. Plus, we’ve been able to go on real dates lately too! Yay for child swaps! Here’s one we did back in May, where we each drew a caricature of the other:
One we did recently, where one of us secretly picked a bunch of one-ingredient items for us to taste, and then the other had to try to guess what it was while blindfolded. It was really fun! And we learned a lot. Like, vanilla tastes disgusting. And I really don’t like grated parmesan cheese plain.
I have had 3 good squash grow in my little garden this year! This is the first time I’ve grown something besides an herb that we were able to eat. It was very exciting. There is also the potential for many more squash, so we’ll see.
Ryan got a ‘flame thrower’ for his birthday to help him get rid of our weeds, and he finally started using it last month. He LOVES using it to burn weeds and is now the talk of the Elders Quorum (everyone wants to borrow it).
We went on an awesome date to one of Jim Gaffigan’s shows in Tucson! It was really funny with really good weather, and just a perfect date.
