We just celebrated our 6th anniversary this month, wahoo! We kind of stretched the activities over the weekend because that’s what worked best with our schedules since our anniversary was on a Sunday this year.
The Friday before our anniversary we headed up to Mt Lemmon again, but took a better car so we made it all the way up We brought a picnic of fried chicken to eat in the woods, but the bees liked our food too much, so we took refuge in the car while we ate:
Then we headed out on a little hike with the kids:
We later found a lookout point higher up the mountain called Windy Point- and it was amazing! The view was gorgeous and we even got to see a couple lightning storms going on all over the valley. It was really awesome. Hyrum keeps asking when we’re going back!
The next morning we both went to experience my anniversary gift to Ryan this year: he got to fly a little plane (one of his dreams). It was really cool- he got to fly the plane like 90% of the time and I got to go in the back seat and see the aerial view of Tucson. Now he wants to own a plane someday, lol. It was so cool, he almost had me convinced!
On Sunday, our actual anniversary, we made a yummy dinner of tri-tip steak, mashed potatoes, pretzel rolls, and Martinelli’s. Yay to us for six amazing years! I am so happy I married Ryan six years ago. He is always the best thing in my life: so giving, hard-working, and all around fun guy to be with. I don’t know how I got so lucky!
