So, I went out in our garage one day and found a snake, about two inches from my flip-flopped foot. At first I thought it was a play snake, but when it moved, I totally screamed and freaked out. Luckily, my awesome neighbor came and killed it for me. Yes, I am a wuss!
When you ask Cora a question, she says, “ummmm.” She gets that from Hyrum, who is very indecisive.
She has a lot of enw words, but some of my favorites are: “c’mon/c’mere”, “wuhv you” (love you), and “hi-yuh!”
Hyrum was playing outside with friends one morning when they found a big, fat caterpillar. They played with it for about an hour, until his friends had to leave, building it a house, making it climb over rocks, and putting it in a little container (I told them to leave it alone- they wouldn’t). When Hyrum came in from playing outside he asked me, “can we buy a caterpillar for a pet?” I told him to ask Daddy when he got home
I taught preschool this month at our house (we’re doing a co-op preschool with some other women in our neighborhood)! The section I taught was math. It was actually really fun, but a lot of work. Hyrum did great:
Cora loves to carry our step stools all around the house to try and reach things just a little bit higher. Thankfully, it doesn’t help all that much.
We went and got Hyrum’s 4-year-old pictures this month, and while the photographer was posing him he whispered to me, “this is hard.”
Cora started nursery this month! From what I hear, she does great and doesn’t even cry when Ryan drops her off. Yay!
Picture smiles!
Cora has a morning game she likes to play once Ryan leaves and I’m still in bed. She’ll open and close my bedroom door saying, “hi!” and “bye!” It is a very effective way to get me out of bed.
I caught her salting herself the other day:
This girl LOVES TV:
In the middle of a cute little tantrum:
Did Hyrum put a ton of stickers on my back? Yes. Did I forget and go to the store like this? Yes. No wonder I thought some people looked at me a little funny…
Hyrum’s T-ball started this month! He is liking it, but he gets bored after the first inning and is ready to go home. I completely understand.
We went to Culver’s on a Tuesday this month, and if the kids dressed up like princesses and superheroes they got a cheap kids meal! It was a lot of fun, and Hyrum loved meeting their mascot, Scoopie:
