We had a lot of Halloween fun in October! Even though I grew some pumpkins, we still went to a pumpkin patch for the fun of it, where we picked out a white pumpkin (something we didn’t have):
They also had a petting zoo and some other fun booths set up:
We carved one of our pumpkins with some friends this year, and Hyrum drew the face we used (he kept saying it would scare the trick-or-treaters, and he loved that idea):
This is what Cora did during the pumpkin carving- play:
Ryan’s, Hyrum’s, and my pumpkins (in order). At our ward trunk-or-treat, my pumpkin won ‘most difficult’!:
On Halloween night we made face pizzas (per tradition) and then the kids went around our neighborhood trick-or-treating. They both loved it and lasted about an hour and a half, which is way longer than I thought they would!
Our costumes this year were Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed, with me being Izzy (per Hyrum’s demands), Ryan being Mr. Smee, Hyrum being Jake, and Cora being a pixie.
Here’s a picture for reference:
The kids looked so cute! Our family actually won for best family themed costumes at the ward trunk-or-treat too. Yay! Not bad for buying only Hyrum’s costume and Ryan’s $1 glasses. Yep, I made or we had the rest!
Pretty good Halloween here, and the kids actually ate a ton of candy (first time!). On to Thanksgiving!
