Over President’s Day weekend we went with my family up to a timeshare in Flagstaff. This is an annual trip for the Martins, and we usually do it to go play in the snow. However, there was no snow this time. In fact, it was about 70 degrees there. So, we brought up some dune buggies and had fun using them and going on walks instead.
Since that was also Valentine’s weekend, my parents were nice enough to watch the kids while we went on two different dates on the trip. The first one we went to see The Monuments Men, and the second date we went to dinner at a BBQ place called Satchmo’s in Flagstaff that served the most delicious bunrt ends BBQ. After dinner we tried to get some ice cream at a local place by following the GPS on Ryan’s phone. It first led us to a trailer park. Then the next place we followed GPS to was here, a cone manufacting plant, not an ice cream shop:
So after that, we gave up and went back to the resort where they sold hand-dipped ice cream.
There was hot-tubbing, where my kids were pretty much forced to get out:
And mini golfing, where Hyrum actually did pretty good (better than me) and Cora liked to hit once and then pick up the ball and put it in the hole:
There was also some s’more making in the fireplace at the timeshare. The kids loved it!
We had a great time in Flagstaff and hope they have some snow for us next year!
