Road Trip! Part 2

After visiting my grandparents, I stopped with an aunt and uncle in Santaquin and got to see a lot of my cousins gathered for a Father’s Day celebration. The next morning I headed to Lehi to stay with one of my best friends/former roommate. While there, we went to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point, and the kids loved it!

The next day we went to Provo, where I got to see another cousin and then take the kids to visit BYU (mine and Ryan’s alma mater). Hyrum really loved it and wanted to see everything, but we really didn’t have time for that.

Hyrum REALLY wanted to go inside the Museum of Art while we were there, and since I love art, we went. Once inside he told me he wanted to see everything! This is not a kid’s museum, so I was surprised he wanted to be there and look around for awhile. But he actually looked at the art and asked questions about it and genuinely wanted to see everything. Unfortunately, Cora was very done at this point so he didn’t get to see it all. But I hope I have a future museum buddy!

That evening we went to a few homes from the Parade of Homes, because that was one of my very favorite things I did when I was living there. We went to the big ones, which were crazy huge. Hyrum thought they were pretty cool though and told me, “this is the house we’re gonna’ live in next.” I told him we would probably never live there (a 15,000 sq foot house) but he insisted we would. Dream big, kid, but don’t be disappointed when our house is 1/10th this size! The houses had indoor pools, indoor basketball courts, splash pads, the coolest kid playrooms, arcades, movie rooms and tons of other cool features. No wonder he would want to live there!

The kids loved to play at my friend’s house, and especially with her little boy, and it was so fun to spend some time with my friend!
