Ryan’s parents and little brother and sister came to Tucson for President’s Day weekend to see Zane be blessed and to meet him. We got to do some fun things while they were here! Hyrum and Cora loved having someone to play with all the time:
On Saturday, which was also Valentine’s Day, we started out the morning with some crepes made by Ryan and some little gifts, then we went for a romantic family trip to the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm! The kids loved it again, and Maren got to kiss a goat, so it was a great morning
Feeding deer and goats:
Feeding the scary ostriches from a distance:
Feeding miniature goats:
The lorikeets were not hungry this time, probably because there were a lot of people there so they had probably already eaten enough, but Ryan was able to coax one down for a snack:
Sunday was the baby blessing (a separate post), and Monday we started the day at the Pima Air and Space Museum:
After lunch we walked around the University of Arizona campus while Ryan taught his class. The ND Schuetzlers got some U of A gear, we hung out on the grass in the big courtyard, then we went to the planetarium.
The Flandrau was pretty cool, and the kids loved all of the interactive exhibits like tower building and rock climbing:
