Road Trip of Death- Part 2

Once we got to Oregon, we stopped at my Aunt Michele and Uncle Steve’s house. It was Father’s Day and they fed us a yummy dinner and I got to see some of my cousins there too. However, while there we mostly just rested because we were all sick at that point, except for Zane:

Unfortunately, we had to skip seeing Ryan’s Grandpa Schuetzler since we were all so sick and we didn’t want to pass it to him. So, the next night we went to Ryan’s Aunt Jodi’s house, where there was another little gathering and yummy dinner. Thankfully, Ryan and Cora were feeling better by then so they got to participate a bit more and see this beautiful view:

The next day we drove to Ryan’s Papa Jubitz’s house, and we got to see another beautiful view:

We got to see Ryan’s Aunt Tia and some of her kids and Papa’s house, as well as meet his new wife, Bonnie:

The next day we took as a sick day at the Jubitz’s house in Washington. I was still feeling pretty terrible, so we went to Urgent Care where we found out I had strep throat and Hyrum had pink eye:

The next day, I finally started feeling better (thank you antibiotics!) and we went to see Ryan’s Great-Grandma in Idaho:

The kids colored pictures for their grandparents, blew bubbles, and got some singing books from her. We also got to see Ryan’s Great-Aunt and Great-Uncle and their new house.

The next day we headed to Rexburg to visit my sister Mindi. We spent a rest day there where we rode the carousel, went to the splash pad, saw her office, and went to lunch at Pizza Pie Café:

Later that evening we got to meet up with some of Ryan’s cousins that are in Rexburg and have some yummy shaved ice:

We spent the next two days driving to our new home in Omaha, with us all mostly recovered from sickness. The most eventful thing that happened was that the A/C went out on my car a few hours before we made it to our new house, so that really sealed the deal of this being the “Road Trip of Death!” But we made it! Yay! We have been loving it here and are thinking it will be a VERY long time before we do a road trip ever again!
