Tricia’s 30th Birthday

I turned 30 in December! I had big plans for my 30th birthday, but everything fell through what with it being the craziest month of the year, me being nearly 7 months pregnant, and leaving for AZ the next day. But it was still a pretty nice day Smile

I got breakfast in bed, which Zane then shared with me and kept me company:

I got two new pairs of shoes, two necklaces, and some new cups that all match! I got some help here too:

And, for comparison (and because I’m a picture nerd), me at ages 10, 20, and 30:

The afternoon was spent with Panera bread and a little shopping. The roads were crazy slippery that day, but we braved driving anyways! Then we all went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, where Zane had an epic meltdown. So much so, that Ryan had to take him outside so the whole restaurant wouldn’t hear him screaming. Luckily, he calmed down about 10 minutes later and was actually pretty pleasant for the rest of the meal.

We got some yummy custard cake when we got home:

Ryan and I ended the night with the Christmas performance of the Omaha Symphony! I appreciated being able to actually sit and enjoy a Christmas concert for the first time in many years, plus parts of it really reminded me of White Christmas (which is a classic in my mind!).

Ryan was also so awesome all day, doing all the pick-up and drop-offs, dirty diapers, and kid wrangling. Not too bad!

As I said on Instagram, I am pretty happy with the way I’ve spent my last 30 years, and I look forward to the next 30!

There have been ups and downs, but I mostly just feel so grateful for where I am now and I know that gratitude goes to my Heavenly Father as He leads me along this path to becoming who He wants me to be!
