Zane started telling people, “Daddy say no” or “Ivy say no” or really any family member “say no” when he wants someone to stop what they are doing, like his opinion will hold more weight if someone else said it. He also loves licking the batter:
Zane likes to sing. Sometimes it’s lullabies to “Ivy-girl” and sometimes he’s singing/yelling at the top of his lungs around the house or in the car.
Children’s museum play time!
Cora has started saying, “that’s boring” about anything she doesn’t like, even if boring doesn’t fit. She also really likes to do other people’s hair:
Ivy has started army crawling this month. She started out with a roll, slowly scoot on her tummy combo but has since graduated to full army crawling and she’s getting fast! She loves to crawl into the kitchen especially.
Ivy likes to get near the air intake vents on the walls and then bang toys on it because it makes a cool sound. She also loves to chew on Little People’s heads, which I assume feels good on her gums. But still no teeth!
Zane’s photography skills at work. Closer….closer…closer:
Red lipstick!
It turns out Hyrum would rather be late to school than have hot lunch at school, which was proven when he forgot his backpack one morning and decided to be late to school to go home and get it. He also got this bat wing for his birthday and loved building it!
Ivy loves to poop explosively in the car seat. She does it very, very often, even when she’s only in there a total of five minutes.
Baby cuddles:
Primary program! Hyrum and Cora sang a special verse of “I Feel My Savior’s Love” with only one other kid and they each memorized their part and said it wonderfully. I felt such a sweet Spirit when they sang those songs about our Savior Jesus Christ. It turns out that Cora is also a very loud and sweet singer- so much so that I had many people comment on her singing to me the rest of that day and even a few weeks later Hyrum has since joined the ward choir with Ryan and I and I’ve enjoyed hearing his sweet voice there too.
This month was the end of Hyrum’s soccer season, and I’m so proud of how much he’s improved! He really ran fast every game and even made his first goal in a game!
Here’s his team’s end-of-season celebration at Mama’s Pizza:
Cora did great for her first season of soccer too! She ran hard and tried her best:
Zane fell asleep with his new toothbrush in hand for a nap one day:
Ivy has graduated to the big bath tub!
The kids had crazy sock day, Wacky Wednesday (which Hyrum didn’t understand why those clothes I had picked out were wacky), and team day at school for Red Ribbon week:
Zane became obsessed with dinosaurs this month! He wants dinosaur everything- shirt, diaper, shows, food, jacket, etc:
Hyrum has started saying this month that there’s a 90% chance of ____ happening, or there’s a 20% chance of _____ being true. He could be a journalist someday with all of his made-up percentages Hyrum’s retakes (which I never told him to take, but actually turned out pretty good):
