The last of our summer fun! We sure tried to pack in all the fun we could this summer. We were sad to see the school year start, but it wasn’t as bad knowing we had made so many great summer memories!
Ice cream at the Dairy Queen:
Free mini golf (from the library reading program). We didn’t keep score, and the kids cheated like crazy, but I think they had fun!
We spent a beautiful morning hiking and seeing the sights at Platte River State Park:
My kids love the crafts at Michael’s! They even came home and decided to make more puppets all on their own:
We went to the Library’s end of summer reading program Firefighter themed activity! The kids saw a firefighter get dressed in all his gear and got to see a real firetruck, plus play some games and do crafts:
We went to the Joslyn Art Museum one morning with friends, and the kids had such a great time we ended up staying for hours! They played in the kids sculpture garden:
Made some art in the free kids’ art area in the basement:
And then enjoyed playing in the fountain outside!
We made it to a Storm Chaser’s game! We went for Mormon Night, and enjoyed our time, even though it was rainy and delayed by over an hour:
Cooking Camp! The kids made dinner that night all by themselves- pancakes, waffles, sliced strawberries, and brownies:
More splash pad fun! I had to document Ivy getting near the water happily! This was the first time all summer!
Backyard camping with Daddy:
Omaha Farmer’s Market! The kids got to see some really cool unusual vegetables, Hyrum got a wooden toy (Hooie stick), Zane and Cora got balloon animals, we saw tons of different kinds of dogs, and we ate some flavored honey sticks and other delicious things.
So much fun this summer!!!
