We had so much fun doing Halloween activities the whole month of October! We went to the Bellevue Berry and Pumpkin Patch as a family:
The kids spent at least half of our time there on the jumping pillow. Near the end we saw them doing this:
They were “meditating” until the other kids bounced them down the pillow, then they’d scramble back to the top and “meditate” some more. Silly kiddos!
Hay ride!
Picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!
For playgroup we went to the zoo, where they had a bunch of Halloween set-ups the kids could take pictures in, and Zane wanted to do every one:
We went to our ward’s trunk-or-treat and chili cook-off, which was really fun! I only got a picture of the kids checking out their candy afterwards:
The kids had a day off of school, so I took them to the Children’s Museum, where they got to play in the Halloween exhibit for awhile:
Cora went to run some errands with me one Saturday, and we happened to go to Hy-vee, where they happened to be having a little trick or treat and activities around the store, so Cora jumped right in and joined (even without a costume). Spontaneous trick-or-treating was such a big hit with her, that she told me it was the best day ever!
Decorating Halloween sugar cookies for our friends’ annual Halloween party!
There are always lots of pumpkins to carve at that Halloween party, and Hyrum made a cool cat one:
