Baby girl has grown so much!
I've loved Lauritzen gardens for a long time. Three years difference here, I think:
What a difference a year makes:
October 2008 to August 2019:
Ten years difference:
Ivy potty trained this month! It's been great! This is the earliest age I've potty trained any of my kids, but she was very ready and my mom wanted her potty trained before she watched my kids while we were in Mexico. For the first time in nearly ten years- I am not changing diapers! Wahoo!
Ryan captioned this photo and sent it to me when I was gone one evening:
Magformer arm rockets:
Big news in our house- first kid with glasses! He looks so cute and has done a good so far of not losing them or braking them:
Hyrum has been very into Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild this month, so he built little models of things in the game from Legos:
Ivy loves to dance and jump wherever she goes! Zane and Ivy have started to play together a lot more now, especially in the mornings when Hyrum and Cora are at school:
Zane loves puzzles, and wanted me to take a picture of him with this one so he could prove to his older siblings that he did it all by himself:
We took the kids to visit the Winter Quarters temple this month. I love the temple, and I was grateful for a chance to share that love with the kids. They were a bit rambunctious there, but I hope something sank in.
Older kids in school means random park mornings on a nice day!
Hyrum received his bear award for cub scouts this month! I'm so proud of him for all the work he did to get there, including trying to read his scriptures every day for 2 weeks!
This month Ryan and I were filmed for a testimonial for a friend's pest control company. It was an interesting experience!
Hyrum as Captain Kindness:
Ivy always wants to come with anyone who is leaving the house and will cry if she doesn't get to come:
Hyrum was accepted into the High Ability Learners (HAL) program at his school, so this month he had his first seminar- rockets! He built a few different rockets and did some experiments with them as well.
Cora wanted me to take a picture of her eye roll (which she does pretty often these days):
Cora still loves to pretend to be a teacher, but now she's also pretending to be a mom, which includes talking on her phone and dressing up Joy (her baby):
We went to the Rose Theater's production of "Go, Dog, Go." The kids loved it!
While we were in Mexico, my mom took the kids to the Amazing Pizza Machine:
Ryan is a great Daddy- even letting Ivy put her necklace on him at church:
