We went to the Sunflower Festival at the beginning of September and it was cool to see! We started with a little train ride. Ivy was scared to go by herself, but agreed to go if I rode with her. Once the ride started she kept saying, "I so brave!"
Beautiful kids with beautiful sunflowers:
Later in September we went to the Applejack Festival in Nebraska City. We ended up only going to Kimmel Orchard, where we picked apples, had an apple cider slushie, and the kids played on their harvest playground:
Walking through the grapes to get to the apples!
Ivy tried to pick every apple she saw!
The beekeeper in a box told us about bees and their stingers. He got stung but he acted like it was nothing. He also showed us that last year's queen had a red marking on her back.
On a random day off the kids had, we went to the zoo! They had their Halloween stuff up already, so it was fun to see that. It was also raining on and off all morning, so we all ended up getting pretty wet:
Train ride!
Pumpkin tower!
We had a lot of fun in September!
