October was a busy and fun month! Hyrum moved up at swim team (to Seawolves Silver) and Cora moved up to Intermediate at gymnastics! Both kids got Dairy Queen to celebrate:
Apparently, Ivy wants a new nickname:
Ryan: Can I call you Stinky Pants Jackson?
Ivy: No.
Ryan: Should I call you Ivy?
Ivy: No.
Ryan: Then what should we call you?
Ivy: Dang it.
We had a fun time calling her Dangit for the next few hours, and she loved it too.
Hyrum came home from school one day asking me what a bug was called that had a "leaflike" abdomen and a red fang. Obviously, being the entomologist that I am, I had no idea. He then drew a picture, and asked me again. Well, I thought his picture looked crazy and that no bug looks like that. I looked it up online though, and lo and behold, it was a Wheel Bug. And his picture is highly accurate! And he drew it from memory! I was very impressed.
Ivy loves for me to stick a play phone in her back pocket, just like Mommy:
When Cora doesn't want to eat the dinner I made, we try to tell her it's delicious. Lately, she has retorted: "Your opinion, not mine."
We had parent-teacher conferences this month, and all three older kids are doing amazing!
The older three kids had their music program at church this month, and they all did great! Even with only practicing it once!
Cora's part was (how did Jesus show His love for us?): He died for us
Hyrum's part (how can we show our love for Jesus?): By believing in Him and reading the scriptures.
Zane's part was (Jesus was?): Kind
Ryan's selfies:
Zane had his last soccer games of the season this month. He did a great job staying focused!
Zane, talking about something up high: "We couldn't see it 'cuz we're little and we don't have x-ray vision."
Zane had cowboy day and hat day at school this month (and sometimes Ivy likes to get in on the action):
Sometimes Ivy wakes up too early from her nap, then comes downstairs and needs a little extra snuggle:
Beautiful kids with beautiful fall leaves:
We got our first couple of snows this month!
This cutie loves to get a picture taken of her:
