We did a lot of fun things this December to celebrate Christmas time!
Before Thanksgiving we went to the Feztival of Trees, where they were raffling off a ton of different Christmas trees with the gifts under it. We all thought it was fun, and the kids liked imagining which one they were going to win (we didn't win any, of course).
The kids also got to see Santa there. Ivy was too scared, but she did accept a candy cane from Mrs. Claus, then ran off as fast as she could:
We decorated our Christmas tree with all of our ornaments from over the years. The kids liked to play I-Spy with it for the rest of the month:
Grandma Schuetzler sent us some new Christmas books that we enjoyed reading!
Cora and I went on a date to The Nutcracker at The Orpheum- and I think we both thought it was pretty magical! Now Cora wants to take ballet so she can be the Snow Queen someday.
We went to our ward's Christmas party, where our kids like to run around with their friends:
We went to The Durham Museum's Christmas at Union Square:
We met Santa again there, and all the kids happily sat with him and told him what they want for Christmas (we really prepped Ivy ahead of time for it):
The giant tree!
Ivy with Dancer:
We went with about 50 friends on Ollie the Trolley to go see Christmas lights, and it was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, Ivy was sick so Ryan and Ivy had to stay home, but the rest of us had fun! Our friends even gave us these glasses that make the lights look like different shapes! My favorite part of this was when everyone on the trolley was singing Christmas carols.
I got to help in Cora's class for her Christmas party. She did the snowman snowball toss:
And she got a cute nose and antlers!
Love this girl!
We were supposed to have a brunch and gingerbread decorating party with some friends, but Ivy and Hyrum got sick, so we had to cancel and just decorated by ourselves:
Those same sick kiddos caused some of us to miss Christmas Sunday, so we had to take those pictures the next week:
We really had so much fun!
