Trip to Florida- Universal Studios

Our fourth day in Florida we went to Universal Studios. Hyrum especially has been dying to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for a long time. And it really was super cool!

We started the day on the Hippogriff coaster, which was Ivy's first roller coaster ever- and she was not a fan. Then we went on the Hogwarts ride, which was really cool to go through the line:

We went through Hogsmeade a bit, though we tried out the frozen Butterbeer later (it was sooo good!):
Then we took the Hogwarts Express over to London (and we couldn't figure out where Diagon Alley was when we got there, but a train conductor told us where other crazy people with sticks were disappearing to):

We went into Ollivander's, and Hyrum was chosen to be picked by a wand! His first few tries didn't go so well (he turned all the lights on and off and almost made a ladder fall), but then he found the right one:

We went on the Gringott's ride and Hyrum and Cora explored all over Diagon Alley and ate at the Leaky Cauldron while Hyrum experimented all over with his wand:

Me and the two little ones headed a different way by taking the train back to the Islands of Adventure park:

Zane got to meet Spiderman!

Then Zane, Ivy and I did all the rides in Dr. Seuss land, which I think was Ivy's favorite part of the whole trip!

We rode the Cat in the Hat ride, One Fish Two Fish ride, the Sneetches ride, and the Caro-seussel:

Then we all hit Jurassic Park land together:

Inside the Jurassic Park discovery center, the kids all got to feel a dinosaur egg with a baby dinosaur inside:

Then they all watched it hatch, and Ivy even got to name to the baby raptor! She named it "Rapty."

Ivy then fell asleep, so I hung out with her:

Ryan and the older three then rode ALL the water rides, a few of them twice!

By the end they were positively soaked, but it ended up being some of their favorite part of the whole trip:

They tried the People Dryer, but it didn't work very well:

On our way out the kids posed with this weird looking sculpture:

It was a really fun day! It was made even better by the fact that the weather was nice and the crowds weren't too bad.
