Martin Reunion 2021

At the beginning of July we had our biennial Martin Reunion in Heber, Utah! It was definitely convenient to have a reunion so close to home. We rented a house near Park City that was almost the perfect place for all of us (poor Mindi had to sleep in a closet). Our first morning we went to the clubhouse, where we all enjoyed playing pool, ping-pong, and watching a documentary in the movie room:

Later that afternoon we went to Deer Creek Reservoir to kayak, rent some wave runners, and play in the sand and water:

It was definitely a fun time, though it was cloudy and got super windy by the end of our day there:

The next day most of the group went tubing down the Provo River:

However, just a few minutes after they started, they got in a big wreck! So, a few of them bowed out from there. It was a treacherous journey, but definitely one that will be remembered by all who undertook the adventure!

While the big kids went tubing, I took Zane, Ivy, and my nephew to a park in Park City, then swimming at the clubhouse's tiny pool:

After tubing, everyone wanted to hit the hot tub (it was pretty full in there):

That night, we went to see 3rd of July fireworks in Midway. We weren't sure if we were in a good spot until they started, but then we discovered that we were in a GREAT spot!

On Sunday we watched a broadcast of Mindi's ward and had a little testimony meeting of just the Martin family:

That afternoon, some of us drove the Mirror Lake Highway, where we saw Provo Falls:

We also went on a little hike around Teapot Lake- it was so beautiful!

We all enjoyed just chilling at the house in the mountains:

Sunday night we had a Martin family talent show. My sister was able to borrow a digital piano from our cousin, so everyone was able to perform. Ivy chose to "play" the piano:

Zane chose to display his talent or wrestling, with Ryan as his opponent:

Cora chose to do her dance from her summer camp, "Get Back Up Again" from Trolls, and she also taught the dance to Ivy so she'd have a partner to dance with:

Hyrum chose to play "Streets of Laredo" on the piano:
My sister tried to teach us all to whistle with our fingers:
We spent the rest of the evening play games and doing puzzles:

The next morning we all went on the special patriotic Heber Valley train ride. There were some fun set-ups to take pictures with outside the station:

We had a lot of fun on the train singing, dancing, and waving our little flags:

Family pictures!

It was an awesome reunion and we love spending time with family!
