Hawaii- PCC and Kualoa Ranch

After we went to Pounder's, we spent the rest of that day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, or PCC. We learned about fire dancing, weaved fishes out of palm tree fibers, saw a funny show, and tried to make fire out of sticks in the Samoa section:

We also tried a fresh coconut, and we did not really enjoy it :D:

We saw wood carvers, rode in a canoe, and played a big wooden drum:

'

In the Hawaii section, we learned a hula dance, learned about using a fishing net, tried some poi, and tried a game:

In Fiji we learned about wayfinding and got some temporary tattoos:

In Tahiti we threw spears (not very well):

We also learned some Tahitian dancing and had some delicious coconut bread:
We also learned about New Zealand and their ancestors and did their stick dance, and we watched a drum show in Tonga. It was great!

We went to the luau at the PCC, where we got these leis and had a delicious dinner:

We also got these pineapple smoothies in a whole pineapple at the luau, and they were amazing! We also loved the pineapple crème brule at the dinner.

There was a lot of beautiful dancing, and our kids even got to join in for one dance!

We ended the night with the PCC's night show- Ha' Breath of Life. It was fantastic, and had the best fire knife dance I've ever seen! We loved our time at the PCC:

Here are the kids with their woven fishes from Samoa:

The next day we went on an ATV raptor tour at Kualoa Ranch. Kualoa Ranch is a privately owned nature reserve, and there have been a lot of movies filmed there! It was also absolutely gorgeous, and fun to ride through in our own ATV:

We got to see some set pieces from Jurassic World movies along the way:

The scenery was just so amazingly beautiful:

Even with the bumpy ride, little Zane was so tired that he ended up taking a nap on our drive back in the ATV, which we just found hilarious:
