September 2022

Ryan's department had an activity at the CLAS ropes course for the students and we attended too! Zane and Ivy did a few little obstacles:

Ryan, Hyrum, and Cora did this giant swing:

My parents were in town over Labor Day weekend, so we all went on the ski lift at Sundance to see the beautiful view of the mountains! It was pretty hot, but really pretty. We also ate Mexican food on top of the mountain!

Ryan's department had an IS alumni tailgate before the first home BYU game, and we all went! Ryan even brought his robot Pepper, who was a big hit to show off her skills dancing to the BYU fight song. You can see him on the schedule here:
We got to meet Cosmo at the tailgate!
Zane and Ivy competed in the kids' cougar tail eating contest- I was impressed how quickly they ate the donuts!
There were some little games to play there too:

After the tailgate, Ryan, Hyrum, Cora, and Zane went to the football game against Baylor. It was a really late game, so Zane only made it through the first quarter, but the rest of them had a great time cheering on the Cougs to a win!

Ryan, me, Hyrum, and Cora went to another game this month, which was also a super late one, but we won that one too!

My dad, me, Zane, and Ivy went to a different BYU game this month, where the kids chowed down on snacks and treats and we cheered on the Cougs to another victory!

I went on a hike to Horsetail Falls near Alpine with some friends this month. It was difficult (6 miles total with a ton of elevation gain), but awesome!

We also took the family to World of Dance at BYU this month, and everyone LOVED it!

Love these cuties:

Zane had pirate day at school this month and was the cutest little pirate ever:

We had parent/teacher conferences this month, and it was great to hear how awesome our kids are doing! My favorite is to hear that they are kind and helpful to their peers and teachers.

They each loved showing off an art project they had made in class. Ivy made her name out of paper scraps:
Zane painted a self portrait and a couple of kids wrote about him:

And Cora made a shirt filled with drawings about herself:

This month I was in charge of a primary activity for Cora's group where we learned about the apostles and prophets and then celebrated one of the girls' birthdays:

Hyrum had a dress-up spirit week this month, and one of the days was "Red Carpet." Him and his best friend looked so handsome in their suits!
Zane was matching with his best friend one day:
Ryan and I finally tubed the river together this month! It was relaxing and nice to spend that time together:
Hyrum started orchestra at school this year, and he had a hard time deciding what to play. He started with bringing a bass home, but later decided to switch to the cello instead. Here he is with his bass:
Fun Ivy and Daddy times:
Ivy has been LOVING kindergarten, and has been having such fun times! She wrote words in shaving cream, was queen for the day, and got to sit in the fun little chair:

Cora has been doing cool things in class too. She made a sphinx from recycled items and made a fort for a read-a-thon day!

It was a great month!
