Easter 2023

We had a great Easter this year! It was at the end of Spring Break, and since we didn't travel for Spring Break this year we were able to spend a lot more time together as a family talking about Jesus and all that He has done for us.

We kicked off the weekend with an Easter egg hunt inside our house. We found all of them but 4 eggs:

Then our kids went around and did our neighborhood's Easter walkabout, where every kid can pick up eggs from every participating neighbor's lawn. Our house gave out whistles, which was a terrible idea because we just heard constant whistling outside the whole rest of the day:

We made some delicious Resurrection rolls as a family:

We painted some Easter egg cookies with edible paint:

Then Uncle Dallen came over and we dyed some Easter eggs:

We all made such beautiful eggs:

We ended the night with our Jerusalem dinner, where we ate (mostly) foods similar to what Jesus would have eaten, and ate sitting on pillows as such as they used to anciently:

The next morning the kids checked out their Easter baskets. Cora got a new apron, Zane got Scrubby Buddies, Hyrum got a board game expansion, and Ivy got a fun craft kit:

The kids were all super excited to get their own Camelbaks too:

Then we had a waffle bar for breakfast:

Then we went to church to celebrate the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

We ended the day with a delicious Easter dinner and dessert:

I am grateful for Jesus Christ. He is always there for me, and He has helped me through so many hard things in life, as well as made the good things so much sweeter.
