Christmas Adam, Eve, and Day 2023

On Christmas Adam we did our (now) tradition of having ribs and an apple tasting. Honeycrisp and Braeburn tied for 1st this year! We also went to see Wonka as a family and all enjoyed it.

Christmas Eve was on a Sunday this year, so we started the day off with some church in matching Christmas outfits:

Then we decorated sugar cookies for Santa:

That night we had our homemade pretzels under the tree lights, and then acted out the Nativity. Hyrum was a shepherd, Cora and Ivy were co-angels, Zane was the narrator, me and Ryan were Mary and Joseph, and then the older three kids were wise people at the end:

Then the kids each got to open their ornament that represents something from their year. Hyrum got a braces ornament, Cora got a Taylor Swift ornament, Zane got a multi-sport ornament (because he tried a bunch of sports this year), and Ivy got a cheer ornament. Ivy also got a ranch ornament from her best friend because she loves ranch so much!

Then we all opened up our matching pajamas:

The tree with all its presents all ready for Christmas morning!

Christmas morning the kids were up bright and early to check out their stockings:

Then it was time to open presents from Santa! Ivy got a karaoke machine, Zane got roller blades, Cora got a new comforter and pillow, and Hyrum got a Hedwig Lego set:

They opened tons of other presents, including some homemade wooden gifts that Hyrum made at school!

The after Christmas morning mess is always a bit crazy:

One of the highlight gifts was a fish tank and things to go in it. Ryan has been working hard on getting this going:

We played with toys and just relaxed together all day, then ate some smoked brisket and a delicious Christmas dinner together:

We ended Christmas with a Christmas lights scavenger hunt around our little city and some yummy Christmas dessert! It was a great Christmas, and I loved having time to appreciate and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ all month!
