Our first day in Amsterdam we went to Keukenhof, a botanical garden (mostly all tulips and other spring bulb flowers) near Amsterdam in The Netherlands. We saw this odd looking sculpture while we waited for our bus, so we had to take a picture:

While in Keukenhof, there were so many beautiful tulips, all arranged so beautifully. They also had some fun picture spots spread throughout the garden:
Basically, it was tulip heaven, and I LOVED it. The rest of the family also liked it, though we probably all would have enjoyed it a bit more if it hadn't been rainy, windy, and cold that day.

Our first (and only) windmill we saw in Holland! It was actually a working windmill, so it was cool to see how they work on the inside:
The view from the windmill:
The kids enjoyed the little maze they had:
Baby geese!
We got some poffertjes at Keukenhof, which was by far the most delicious food we got there. Hyrum got some pesto pasta he liked, and then we ate at a restaurant that ended up being expensive and not that good, so at least we had delicious poffertjes that got powdered sugar all over everybody:
After Keukenhof we were all tired, but especially the little kids. The bus ride home was actually like an hour long and we were stuffed onto there (standing), so the kids ended up sitting in the hallway of the bus and falling asleep:
Once we got back we rested for a bit then went through Vondel Park, the most famous park in Amsterdam (and right next to our hotel). It was actually full of young adults and grass, and not much else, but we ended up finding a playground eventually:
After we walked all through the park we found a good place for pannekoeken, and it was SO good! They were huge, and delicious:
It was a full day, and full of my favorite: tulips, family, and good food!
