May 2024

 Ivy has grown so much!

We had a full and fun May this year!

Crazy Hair Day at school for the elementary kids:

The kids also had their CF appointment at the new (much closer!) children's hospital that day, so it was fun for all their CF team to see their crazy hair too:

Hawaiian day at school:

Hyrum's had a few swim meets this month, and at his last one in May he got two state times! One in the 1500 Free, the other in the 50 Free. The longest and shortest races they even have!

We celebrated Star Wars day (May the 4th) with a Star Wars movie and Star Wars snacks (lightsaber pretzels, Grogu yogurt, Leia buns, etc):

The kids also loved having some lightsaber battles. Cora sent me these pictures with these captions:

"He's big. He's mean. He's very very green!! It's GREEN SUPREME! (Hyrum)"

"He's big. He's red. His real name is Ted.... it's the RED RULER!!!"

"She's big. She's a turtle. But very purple... It's PURPLE TURTLE!!!"

"She's our judge. She holds a grudge. She won't budge.... It's judge Cora!!!!!"

Our PTA board held our volunteer appreciation brunch in May, and it turned out great! It's been amazing working with these ladies!

Ryan came home from Egypt this month! He was gone for two weeks, so we all missed him a TON.

These cute girlies like to match, be it their clothes or their hair:

The kiddos love making stuff with play-do (they both have made a football, Zane's has a case):

Fun swim afternoon with this crew, trying to get Zane ready to try out for the rec swim team this year!

Our neighborhood had a cookie get-together, and all the kids helped make some treats for it! Hyrum made Oreo truffles, Cora made seven layer cookies, and Zane and Ivy made homemade Oreos:

I was the PTA member on the Field Day committee this year, so I got to help with it all day. I saw Ivy "jump the creek" and Cora play shark attack with the big parachute:

I had a great Mother's Day this year! Ryan and the kids brought me breakfast in bed:

Ivy made me a special message during church:

Zane wrote me this and gave me a bouquet of chores he'll do for me:

Ivy made me some magnets and gave me this:

After church we went on a family bike ride down to the Vineyard beach of Utah Lake:

I love being their mom- it's my favorite job and lifelong calling!

We got a brand spanking new church building a few months ago, but I don't think I ever posted about it. It's been so cool to be one of the first wards to ever be in a building!

Ryan and I went on a date this month to dinner and a movie, and I got a delicious non-alcoholic pina colada!

The kids have started up playing Minecraft together again this month:

We visited our future sister-in-law at her work for lunch one day!

Cora made a level 2 cheer team!! She's been working her back handspring so hard for the past couple of years, and her hard work finally paid off!

We had ice cream sundaes a few times this month. Cora had some when her friends came over one night, and Hyrum had some with his friends when they came over a different night. The littles just had them:

I helped throw a baby shower for a friend in my ward this month! It turned out great, mostly because of my co-host (I mostly just brought food):

Cute girl with her crafts and getting all cozy in the bean bag:

The girls have let me do their hair a few times this month, and it's so fun!

Park morning:

Cora went to her very first girl's camp this month! She was so excited to go and came home exhausted! She had a great time though:
