Hyrum turned 15!! We celebrated the Sunday before with Dallen and Cami, with the dinner he chose: smoked ribs, homemade French bread, snap peas, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin chocolate chip cake:
Dallen and Cami got Hyrum a special gift that a parent wouldn't buy for their teen: a knife!
On Hyrum's actual birthday he got breakfast burritos in bed:
Present time! Hyrum got a cello stand, a robe, a globe, drawing stuff, a new comforter, and a swim backpack:
After school (it was an early out day) we took Hyrum and one of his friends to lunch at Costa Vida:
Then we went to Brooker's for ice cream that night:
That Friday night we had his birthday party, where over 20 of his friends attended:
They had pizza, played Crossnet, frisbee golf, giant Jenga, and karaoke:
Everyone sang to him, then we had brownies, ice cream, and Oreo truffles:
He opened his presents from his friends, which included a TON of candy, some sheet music, and this little guy:
Hyrum has a great group of friends, and we were glad they could celebrate him:
Happy birthday to my favorite teenager! I am so proud of all that Hyrum has accomplished this year. He is such a great kid, and I'm so glad he's ours. Hyrum is outgoing, friendly, such a hard worker, so musical, enthusiastic, hardly ever complains, and just plain fun to be around. He loves playing the cello and piano (he especially loves playing so his friends can sing to his accompaniment), the Piano Guys and really all music, learning, hanging out with his friends and family, Oreo truffles, cooking, Costa Vida, and FSY. We love Hyrum so much and had fun celebrating him!
