August 2025

 August was a great month! We started it off with Zane's last swim meet. He did so good, and got 2nd in 50 Back and 3rd in the 50 Fly:

Ryan also swam the relay with his Masters Swim Team and they won over the much younger coaches team!

After the swim meet the kids had fun playing at the Scera pool:

We went on a triple date with some friends to a fun musical- Something Rotten. It was a funny one!

Hyrum got his braces off this month! He looks so good and he is loving having fewer restrictions:

One of Ryan's colleagues made his car look like Lightning McQueen:

Ivy sure does love Cinnaholic:

Took the kids to Freakier Friday- it was cute!

Family lunch at Via 313 with some very cheesy pizza:

There was a fire on the mountains near Provo, and it was crazy to see the hills burning like that from our house:

Ivy had her first day of dance with her competition team this month, and she is loving it!

Ryan took a quick trip to Detroit for work this month, where they set up a chatbot to work with a Detroir Interfaith organization:

He loved some desserts he tried there:

Our whole family went to the Marriott school employee tailgate and then to the first football game of BYU's season. We had a great time and BYU crushed it!

The bus home takes awhile, but we make it fun:

Zane and Ivy had the chance to go to This is the Place as their Primary Day Camp this month, and they had so much fun! I got to go as a chaperone too, so it was fun to see them doing all the things:

They both did so good pulling a handcart (just like Hyrum earlier this summer!):

They loved panning for gold:

Zane made a ton of "money" from his gold:

Ivy liked stamping a leather square:

Zane has started collecting hats, and one day he wore them all:

Traditional Back to School dinner!

The kids went back to school this month! They just keep growing and getting older so fast!

It's Hyrum's first year at the high school, and it took him a week or two to get adjusted but he is liking it.

While the kids were at school their first day, me and Ryan went out for a paddleboard at Deer Creek (kind of an early anniversary outing):

Zane started soccer games with his club soccer team this month! They started with a tournament, where they learned a lot about what they need to improve:

Zane's sweet teacher even came to one of his tournament games!

We finished our Summer Fun List this month! We really had a lot of fun this summer- it was hard for me to see it be done.

Hyrum's corn has grown so tall:

Zane finally got his uniform for his new club team, and he was SO excited. He's been asking about it pretty much ever since he made a team, so he is super proud of it:

Our family went to Ryan's work retreat dinner, where he had a grueling game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to win the retreat trophy. Sadly, he lost.

The property where the retreat was was so beautiful and had so much fun stuff for the kids to do there, like an indoor playplace:

I went with some friends to a Rage Room this month, and it was fun to smash stuff:
