December 2025

We did a ton of fun things in December!

We went to see the comedian Nate Bargatze with some friends and it was hilarious!

The kids bought this blueberry that was HUGE!

Ryan went to Nashville for a work conference, and he did some fun things too! He tried a bunch of Nashville hot chicken (and learned he can't get the hottest ones):

He saw a show at the Grand Ol' Opry:

Checked out Broadway:

Went to the Country Music Hall of Fame:

And had a work dinner:

It was also my birthday this month! I got kolaches for breakfast in bed, a really cute list from the kids of things they love about me, and a homemade reference book for Stormlight Archives from Hyrum. Ryan and I took the day off and we went to Park City to check out the holiday decor on Main street:

Then we got Thai food for lunch, saw a great movie, and got home in time to see the kiddos home from school. Then I opened my presents:

We went to Texas Roadhouse for my birthday dinner, where I got the honor of sitting on the saddle:

Then we went home and had my Cold Stone Creamery cake and sang some Christmas karaoke:

It was a fun birthday, and really nice to have Ryan home for it and to be able to go to dinner with all my kids on a weekday felt like a very special treat!

Cutie Ivy:

When Ryan was out of town at his conference, Cora had a cheer competition, so Uncle Dallen and Aunt Cami came to our rescue by taking Zane to his soccer game that day and getting pictures of Hyrum before his first real date to Preference!

Here's Hyrum on his way to his first real date! He went with his good friend Emily, and for the day date they decorated gingerbread houses, then they had dinner at one of the girls' houses, went to the dance, and hung out watching a movie afterwards:

While Hyrum was at the dance Dallen and Cami were nice enough to take the littles to dinner and then to the Puppy Store where they had a fun time with this cute little puppy:

Over the break from school we took the kids to a Jazz game! It was their first professional basketball game, and we had fun!

We also took the kids tubing over the break, and it was pretty warm so it was all fake snow, but it was so fun- especially when we all went down together on the last run!

Ryan swam over a 5k over the holiday break as well! We are all so proud of his big accomplishment!

The girls made Zane wear this during church one day:

Ivy was throwing a tantrum but changed her tune as soon as the camera came out:

Hyrum got "Student of the Day" this month from his art teacher! Here's what his teacher said about him: "Hyrum has been a pleasure to have in class because of his creative perspective on the assigned art projects. He is not afraid to ask questions, and experiment with materials, topics, and designs. Hyrum thinks outside the box and puts in 110% on every project, he is also kind to his classmates."

I was also able to take Hyrum to his Senior State meet for his club swim team in St. George this month. He had an amazing meet and I loved chatting with him the whole drive there!

Beautiful sunset:

Fun times for a combined YM/YW activity this month:

Cora's cheer competition was not their best, but Cora did great!

One day me and the littles rode our bikes to our new, local grocery store for some last minute groceries over Christmas break. Take note that me and Zane didn't even wear a sweater to bike a couple miles in DECEMBER. It was an extremely warm December, including the warmest birthday I've had by far since we lived in Arizona. I don't mind too much because it's been my perfect temperature in the 50s and 60s!

Hyrum had a few swim dinners this month and he loves hanging out with his team!
