We had a lot of Christmas concerts and fun Christmas activities this year! The kids kicked off the concerts with singing with their choir at the Vineyard city tree lighting:
We got to decorate the Christmas tree while Grandma and Grandpa Martin were in town, which made it extra fun:
We enjoyed doing our Christmas Adam tradition of apple taste testing, and we even included some dried apples this time too. Cosmic Crisp was the winner this year!
Me and Ryan went on a date to "Deck the Dome" laser show at a local planetarium:
We had a wonderful Christmas Sunday! I love when I can get everyone matching:
All of us were supposed to perform in the church Christmas program this year, but I happened to get sick a few days before and lost my voice. Cora sang with the Young Women, Zane and Ivy sang in a special small group with the primary, and Ryan and Hyrum sang with the ward choir:
Zane had his first orchestra concert this month and he did great:
Zane and Ivy had their choir concert this month too and they did a great job too!
Hyrum had his high school orchestra concert this month and did great!
We had fun at our ward party- the kids even participated in the "12 Days of Christmas" skit:
And they helped jingle bells for the Jingle Bells sing-along:
And Hyrum played his cello for the ward party to "Silent Night":
We all wore our Grinch shirts (Ryan was in TN and Cora was at cheer), but only me and Ivy got a picture at the ward party:
Hyrum played in a multi-stake orchestra for a big Christmas concert, and it was fantastic! The audience was super full, and for good reason because the concert was one of the best I've been to. Here he is with some of his orchestra buddies:
I got to see the littles sing in their school's "Christmas Sing," and they were so cute!
I also got to help at Zane's school Christmas party where we played the candy bar game:
We had our traditional Grinch night:
We all went to see The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever at the Scera and it was cute:
We made gingerbread houses! The kids each picked their own house and a special bag of candy at the store this year because we decided to make it a competition amongst the kids. Our extended family voted for the winner, and Cora won! They all did a great job though:
I took the littles to Riverwoods to try to meet Santa, but the line was way too long so we just took some fun pictures around:
Christmas snack:
A few days after Christmas we went to downtown SLC to check out their fun Christmas displays. We went to the Grand America and saw the giant gingerbread house, beautiful decorations, and decorated window displays:
We also contributed at the Giving Machine and saw the lights on Temple Square"
It was such a fun Christmas season!
