February 2026

February had a lot of Hyrum's swim meets in it! His high school boys swim team got their official "Region Champs" picture taken this month:

And Hyrum swam at the 4A State Swim Meet held at BYU:

Before the state meet, the high school band led a little parade through the high school as a really fun send-off:

His state meet finals were held on Valentine's Day- and Hyrum made it back for his 500 Free, 200 IM, and his relay to finals! He was the only boy on his team to make it back for any individual events to finals (only one girl made it back), so that just shows how amazing he did! It was so fun to watch him, and he had just about the best meet I've ever seen him have- he just crushed his times that he went in with, even though they were his PRs from the regional meet just a few weeks before. He ended up getting 10th (though 9th best time) in the 500 Free, and 14th in the 200 IM. We are so proud of him!!

Ryan took Hyrum on his date from Christmas to "How to Train Your Dragon" in concert with the BYU symphony. This is Hyrum's all-time favorite orchestra music, so he just LOVED it.

Dallen and Cami happened to also be at the show, so they joined them for ice cream at the Creamery afterwards:

We worked on the Magic Puzzle this month (mostly Ryan) and it ended up pretty cool:

Zane helped a friend with his chore of making muffins for his family one Saturday morning:

My beautiful girl:

Zane has been playing rec basketball this month (Ryan is the assistant coach)! Zane loves it:

Cute little Ivy sometimes has tantrums and it's fun to take a picture when she is:

The kids had a random day off this month, so we all went to play basketball at the local park:

Then we finally made it to the new Pinkbox that opened near us!

One day the littles made a bracelet selling stand with some neighbors:

When all the other kids were gone one evening, I took Ivy to dinner and shopping for some birthday present ideas. We saw this pretty dancing fountain at the mall:

Cora had a cheer competition this month, and both of her teams did great! One of her teams had to stop mid-routine because one of the girls threw up on the mat, but they did a great job re-grouping and trying again later. One of her teams got first and the Golden Ticket, and her other team got second!

Cora's second team got a Summit bid this month, so both teams are heading to the big competition in Florida in a few months!

On President's Day this month we took the kids to the new Titanic exhibit near us. We watched some of the Titanic movie the night before we went, and I think that helped them enjoy the exhibit quite a bit more. They gave each of us the "ticket" of a real passenger on the Titanic, so it was interesting to see what happened to them.

Titanic stairs and doors recreation:

Workin' on the Titanic:

A really cold iceberg you could touch:

One night the littles volunteered for their elementary school's spirit night at Culver's. They had a blast delivering everyone's food!

Cora started volleyball this month and has really been enjoying being on a team with her friends!

Prom is coming up for Hyrum's high school, and he has a fun group put together from swim team for it. Here they are asking one of the girls to prom:

Here's how Hyrum asked his date:

And how his date answered:

Zane went ice skating with his young men's group this month and had a fun time:

Cora got to tour the Marriott Center with her young women's group this month and loved it:
