On August 18th, 2009, Ryan and I celebrated our two year anniversary. It is a little hard to believe we've been married a whole two years because I still feel like a newlywed, totally in love with my new husband. He really is the greatest man, and every day I feel lucky to have married my best friend.
So, to celebrate, we decided to go to Pirate Island, a new Chuck-E-Cheese type place in Orem right next to Costco. We were hoping for the couple of weeks before our anniversary that it would open in time, because it's said "coming soon" for months now. Well, it did open in time, and we got to go on their opening night! It was a little slow, but we expected that due to training all the employees and such. It was also totally awesome!! The lobby made me totally feel like we were at a pirate-themed restaurant at Disneyland, which as many of you know, is one of my favorite places. Seriously, they did a really good job with the place, and we can't wait to go back. Here's us waiting to be seated:
We had a yummy pizza dinner and then played games like skee-ball and shooting basketballs. It was kind of funny because we were the only ones there without little kids. But we enjoy acting like children sometimes, so it worked out :) We also got like 150 tickets! Which was able to buy us like 4 pieces of candy. Those tickets just don't seem to get you what they used to.
After Pirate Island we went to see Night at the Museum 2 at the dollar theaters. It was pretty good, but I'm glad we only paid $4 to see it. I do like that there are still clean movies in the world though.
Anyways, all in all it was a great night, and a good celebration of two years of marriage. It's kind of weird to think how next anniversary we will be celebrating with our baby!
