I realized that I pretty much only post about Hyrum on here, so I wanted to take a post to brag about my dear, sweet husband Ryan.
Ryan just finished his first year of his PhD program, and he has done AWESOME:
- Ryan has gotten all A’s in his classes, both semesters.
- He was awarded the prestigious Science Foundation Arizona Fellowship.
- One of the papers he co-authored was accepted to be published by a journal.
- His new research idea was accepted and presented at the DHS Science Conference in Washington, D.C.
- He received a $40,000 grant to carry out his research! Ryan wrote the proposal and gave the presentation for the idea and everything.
Right now he’s taking a big test to determine if he gets to carry on in the PhD program or not, but I’m sure he’ll do fine. He’s a rockstar!
Of course, Ryan does all of this while still being a doting and devoted husband and father. We still get to spend a lot of time together because he sacrifices his personal free time to play with Hyrum and I. He doesn’t get to play very often, so he’s getting a pretty good free day tomorrow after his test (video games for 8+ hours with the guys).
