There are some quirky things about Tucson I’ve noticed, just as I’m sure there are quirky things about every town.
I saw this dino at the corner of two sort-of main streets in the center of Tucson. To my knowledge, I did not see anything related to dinosaurs around it- no dino stores, museums or restaurants. I did, however, see a good looking fast-food joint behind it. (I have since found there is a McDonald’s behind it which I think is associated with it).
I’ve been in monsoons in Mesa, but it’s been a long time. It rained so much in Tucson one day that we had a little river out front and a stream down the side of our house. The park down the street turned into a water park and Ryan and I had some fun going down the slides :)
I haven’t taken a picture, but I have seen a TON of little hot dog stands around. They’re usually on some random street. And the pictures of hot dogs on the side usually have a lot of chilies around them, so I think they must be pretty hot. Maybe one day I’ll try one.
