Ryan and I LOVE the Olympics. We eagerly await it every two years and are always so sad when it’s over. When it’s Olympics time, our TV is on and tuned to NBC all day every day. So, we decided to throw an opening ceremony party for this summer’s Olympics. We had dishes from around the world for dessert and snacks that included: crepes, English trifle, salsa and chips, and pitas and hummus. It was yummy!
During the commercials we played some games from the Olympics like our version of ribbon dancing, where the person who unrolled their roll of crepe paper first wins!
It was hilarious! Afterwards the kids rolled themselves in all the crepe paper :)
Here’s our Olympic flag and part of basketball game, where whoever made the most baskets in a minute won:
There was soccer too:
Of course, we all got gold medals at the end cuz we’re that good:
Now Hyrum says he wants to be in the “‘lympics” as a volleyball, basketball, and high jumper person. He even likes to practice :) Dream on, buddy. Dream on.
