Cora thinks it is hilarious to rub Hyrum’s head and grab his hair. Amazingly, Hyrum obliges.
Hyrum REALLY does not like cookie dough:
Cora loves to just look around and learn with big, bright eyes.
Cora loves to be tickled under her chin and up her ribs.
Cora has been grabbing at spoons and food for a few weeks now, and once we started her on solids, she just leans forward for each bite and tries to grab the spoon to put it in her own mouth!
I was chasing Hyrum with Cora and got too tired to keep going and told Hyrum I was going to stop and sit down. He said, “I’ll read to you to make you feel better!” then ran to get a book. He sat next to me and read a book that just says the words for different objects and said things like, “Once upon a time, there was eyes and a nose. Once upon a time there were three kids clapping. Once upon a time, there was a pretty cool gorilla.” It was hilarious and definitely the best story I’ve ever been read.
Hyrum is now potty-trained! The funny thing is that I remind him to go a bunch of times but he says he doesn’t need to, then all of the sudden he says, “I gotta go potty!” and has to run to the bathroom. He likes to wait until the last possible second to go, I guess.
Hyrum loves to say “watch this!” and have me watch him do something many, many times.
Here is Hyrum making a funny face for the camera:
Cora’s 6 month stats: 14 pounds (14th percentile) and 88th percentile for height (I forgot the inch measurement)
Hyrum’s 3 year stats: 32 pounds (53rd percentile) and 29.5 inches (86th percentile)
Sometimes I feel like a cool mom when I make Hyrum’s lunch kind of fun:
29.5 inches?? That seems very short;)
