Hyrum was so mad that we made him sit in his chair during dinner one night that Hyrum yelled, “I’m gonna eat this car!” and gave us a ‘so there’ look. He was referring to a Hot Wheels car in his hand. We tried our best not to laugh!
Cora has a lot more words lately: want some, hi “hah” and bye “bah, eyes, ice, outside
Hyrum has four new toys that he insists go to bed with him every night, and they each have a purpose: a stuffed dog (to bark at the monsters), a teddy bear (to roar at the monsters), a stuffed Lightning McQueen (to run over the monsters), and a stuffed lion (to bite the monsters).
The co-op preschool we’re doing with Hyrum this year went on a field trip to the police station, and he got to try on his bullet proof vest!
Cora’s favorite song is, “If You’re Happy and You Know It” and spends most of the song pointing at her cheeks and smiling
We bought Hyrum’s Halloween costume this month, and he wanted to put it on as soon as we got home. After we got his whole costume on he told me, “I’m gonna wear it ‘till Halloween!” Yeah, that would have been at least a month. I’m glad I talked him out of it.
Hyrum was invited to a fun chef birthday party where he got all this cool gear. He now insists on wearing it every time he helps me in the kitchen:
We had to take Ryan back and forth to work a few times one week (car in the shop), so Hyrum wanted to see where Daddy works. As we go in and he sees Ryan’s desk he asks, “where are all the toys?” Even after we explained to him that there are no toys at Daddy’s office, he wanted to walk through the whole office to find the toys. It was like, ‘what do you do all day without any toys?’
I grew these pumpkins in my garden!! Hyrum decided he wanted to grow them, so we gave it a try and it turned out great!
Cora loves to watch Super Why with Hyrum. She will sit there and answer the questions they ask, which is usually something like, “what letter says _____” Her answer is always “I!”
Hyrum has taken to say “ya know.” Like, “I ate all my dinner, ya know.” Kind of funny on a three year old.
Cora loves to dip things in her water. She has dipped carrots, pancakes, pepperoni and more in there, and will usually take a bite of the food afterwards. Yuck!
