Me and the kids decorated our house a bit for Halloween, and the kids (and me) loved the festiveness it brought to the house:
The day before Halloween I did mini-Halloween party for Cora and her best friend from down the street. They made paper plate jack-o-lanterns, had ghost banana snacks, and had a dance party to Halloween music:
That same morning Hyrum had a fun party at preschool, where he took some very silly pictures:
We had our ward blanket-or-treat the Monday before Halloween, which the kids loved. My Olaf costume was a big hit, and I had probably 5 or 6 people want to take my picture from both our Halloween events we went to. I was Olaf to match Cora, who was Elsa (and also to go with my very pregnant belly). Elsa was the tiniest Elsa I saw all Halloween, which made her all the more adorable. Hyrum was Wolverine, and he loved pretending to have claws. Ryan was Captain America, to go with Hyrum like in the Super Hero Squad (one of Hyrum’s favorite shows):
For a fun lunch Halloween week, I made the kids Halloween-shaped sandwiches (which helped Cora eat it all for the first time ever with a sandwich):
On Halloween, my parents came to celebrate with us (and fix some stuff around the house), and we had our traditional Halloween pizzas:
We went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood a bit with some friends, then we went to our combined ward Halloween party, where the kids played some carnival games, then went trunk-or-treating.
My parents joined us for a bit at the end too:
The next day we went to our neighborhood Halloween festival, where Hyrum got his face painted like Wolverine:
