Zane started smiling and talking this month! He loves to just sit there and coo and gurgle to you. He is the most chatty baby I’ve had!
When Cora takes pretend pictures of me she says, “Say cheese! Say Chuck-E-Cheese!”
Zane loves to bite the kids’ noses when they get close, and they think it’s hilarious.
Zane’s eyes always get wide when he sees Ryan coming. That’s probably because he knows some play time is coming!
Zane started sleeping 6 hours at night, and then another 3 or 4 hours, so I am only waking up to feed him once a night!
Cora started potty training this month! We had to resort to letting her have the iPad while she sat on the toilet to get her to go, and it has worked great. Hyrum likes to join her in there and has his own little set-up in the bathroom:
The kids watched Cinderella a few times this month, and after watching the beginning where Cinderella tells her bird friend that she can’t tell about her dream or it won’t come true, Hyrum told me, “I tell my bad dreams so they won’t come true.”
Here is Hyrum with a sword and a bat in his pajamas, looking like some sort of weird looking animal:
Our dryer broke this month, so we had to go the old-fashioned way and hang a clothes line. We did it inside though, because I have a major bug-paranoia:
I wore a new glittery shirt this month, and by the end of the day, Zane’s face looked like this (Ryan said it wasn’t right for me to bedazzle our son’s face):
We got a new kind of pizza for dinner this month that had a pretty thin and floppy crust, and Hyrum whined about it a little saying, “I didn’t want a two-handed pizza- I wanted a one-handed pizza!”
Hyrum told me he loves “scramboiled” eggs. Apparently, he wants his eggs both scrambled and hardboiled.
Cora loves to play with her Anna and Elsa Barbies, but she likes for them to have swords and fight the bad guys.
The kids call Zane an octopus, because when you set him down anywhere, he likes to get both his arms and legs flailing all over the place.
Cora loves to make up songs, and is singing all the time. It is adorable to hear her little voice singing things like, “No, you can’t go outside” and “Pink shirt and pink pants!”
Cora also loves to dance. She will tell me, “watch!” while I’m nursing Zane and then she’ll do some very dramatic dance moves, fall down a few times, and end with a big pose. She always gets some applause at the end
We went to see Big Hero 6 in theaters on New Year’s Day, and in it there is a part where the main character's brother dies. Hyrum asked me if the brother had died, I said yes, and he said, “that’s ok. He has other brothers.”
Here are the hats we made on New Year’s Eve:

We took some Valentine’s pictures this month to send to our parents, and here are some of my favorites:
Here’s what seems a summary of some of our time in Tucson:
