Ryan graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2015 with his PhD! We are soooooo proud of him and how amazingly hard he worked to get there. Plus, he was an amazing husband and father through it all as well! We sure love him, and are so proud that he is ours!
There was a dinner where all the graduates from MISM got to say a little speech a few days before graduation. Ryan’s speech said how hard it had been, but how it was worth it, and that he couldn’t have made it through without his amazing wife. One student referenced Ryan’s class in his little speech, and another student came up to Ryan afterward and said that he was her favorite professor!
At graduation, Ryan got to pick what quote was displayed while they were explaining his dissertation and he was being hooded (it definitely brought a chuckle from the crowd):

That evening we had a giant graduation party, with around 70 people in attendance! We had a BBQ and celebrated the evening away with a lot of the people who came to mean so much to us in Tucson.
