This little boy learned his second word (and his first new one in a VERY long time) this month! He learned to say, “up!”
Zane likes to pull a lot of shenanigans. This month he dumped a ton of clean dishes into the sink with dirty dishes, learned to push a chair up to the counters to get to lots of new things, likes to grab cups full of water and run onto the carpet ( a no-no), and dumps out his cereal all over the floor when he’s done eating. He likes to keep us on our toes!
Playing dress-up:
Zane also likes to drink his ice cream after it’s melted:
Cora was talking to Zane one day and said, “Let’s talk about this. How can people understand people when they’re babies?” in a very serious tone.
Zoo trip:
Cora has taken to the question, “seriously?” this month.
Hyrum made this airplane all by himself!
The kids snagging some cookie dough, straight from the bowl!
Ryan played in a pretty intense game of flag football with the young men at a branch activity:
Treatment time!
Ryan read the kids The BFG before bedtime, so we had to take them to the movie when it came out! They loved it!
Zane didn’t get to go to the movie, but he enjoyed the popcorn later:
The kids had fun at a friend’s birthday party, where they got to be Octonauts, painted ocean creatures, and play at a new splash pad!
We took many trips to the Children’s Museum this summer, and here are pictures from one of them:
We also went to the zoo! And the kids finally got to touch the animals in the touch tank:
Zane selfie:
Hyrum is growing up so much! His amount of tantrums has gone WAY down and he is now generally a happy, kind little guy. He is a funny, smart, and helpful boy that I am so glad to have in our family!
One of our summer activities was to freeze some of their little toys in a big block and then they try to chisel them out. They loved it again this year!
The best mornings are spent like this:
We tried being superheroes with our chalk drawings:
