This month, we were watching General Conference and the kids were trying to find the card that matched the apostle who was speaking. Hyrum says, “look for the old guy!”
When my sister came to visit this month, she had a problem with one of her teeth, and her crown fell off. Hyrum said, “I didn’t know we had king and queen teeth!”
We also got a beautiful double rainbow this month:
Here’s how we hang out at Hyrum’s soccer games (of which he started at the end of March):
When me, Cora, and Ivy were hanging out on the couch, Cora told me, “we’re small, medium, and large girls!”
Here’s a glance at Cora’s grumpy face:
Zane has started to remind us to say prayers when we forget, which is great. Now if he would only keep his arms folded and eyes closed while we were having prayer…
Ivy is a good eater and a good sleeper. She will even sleep through the other children screaming right around her, which is good because someone is always yelling around here!
The kids always want to wake up our visitors early in the morning, and I was telling them they needed to let Aunt Mindi sleep because this was like her vacation. Cora said with a worried look, “she’ll miss her vacation!”
Cora also likes to not sleep in her room, and sometimes the floor in the hall is her next choice:
Grandma Martin got Zane some Ninja Turtle and Batman pajamas and they immediately became his favorites. In the Ninja pajamas, he likes to run around punching and kicking with his growly voice:
Hyrum was the Pride Student at his school for the 4th quarter for his class! The students pick one of their peers to be picked as Pride Student each quarter, and this time it was Hyrum. They picked him because he helps other kids with their math, helps other kids when they fall down at recess, is kind, caring, considerate, and includes others. I am SO proud of him and am so proud of the wonderful boy he is. He got to color this ceiling tile and have a special lunch at school with us and his teacher to celebrate:
When Hyrum holds Ivy, he likes to sit her up, move her arms, and say her words like she is “Boss-Baby.” It’s pretty cute.
Zane always wants to come whenever anyone goes anywhere, and he’s also started talking in three-word phrases, so he is definitely still progressing with his speech!
After Ivy showers, she likes to scream when she gets out and then urinate all over her towel before I can rush to get her diaper on!
Hyrum also had his first piano recital this month! We are proud of him for working so hard on his piano skills this year! He did great!
Cora always wants her like mine. If I curl my hair, she wants her hair curly. If I have a braid, she wants a braid. I’m glad she looks up to me
Ivy’s first tummy time! She likes it fine if she has company, but will just lay there and scream if she can’t see anyone:
You know it’s been a good trip to Costco if you’ve got chocolate on your face and a very long receipt:
My sister came to visit in April, and it was awesome! We also went to the zoo while she was here in the pouring rain, and it was Ivy’s first trip there!
We all like to hold Ivy:
My beautiful baby girl:
My brother and sister-in-law also came to visit in April, and I’m so glad they did! It was so fun to have another chance to see them. We went with them out to dinner and to the Trail Center, and they got to hold little Ivy:
Zane has become quite the little copycat, mostly to everything Cora does. If she jumps, he will jump. If she says “don’t touch that,” he will say, “don’t touch that.” I hope she keeps being a good example for him!
Cora likes to really dress in layers, and this particular outfit reminded me so much of some of the crazy stuff Disney channel stars wear that I had to take a picture:
Cute little Ivy faces:
I went to a wedding reception at one of the houses out in the country a bit more, and I just thought the scenery was so beautiful, I had to take a picture!
