While Hyrum was in school all day and Zane would nap, Cora and I would play games, do nails, and watch girl movies. I’m going to miss those times when she starts kindergarten in the fall!
We went to a couple graduation parties in May, where we took some awesome pictures:
We bought a super expensive dress for Ryan this year, so he could wear it to all the graduations at UNO. He sure does look like a stud, though!
This cute girl gave a talk in primary in May, and she had also been given some gum by Grandma Martin in sacrament meeting, which ended up with her giving a “valley girl” type talk: “I know Jesus loves me *smack smack*”
Family outing to look at model trains and then to Orange Leaf, a make your own yogurt place!
During Ivy’s tummy time, she keeps trying to eat her blanket instead of lift her head or roll or anything.
We had baby bunnies in our yard! Until the cats found them…
Zane has started to say, “Never, ever, ever” when we’re asking him to do something and he doesn’t want to!
We had a last day of school/farewell breakfast at my house this month. I love these ladies, plus so many more in our area here!
Hyrum told me his favorite thing to do at school is to ‘dab’ (which is the latest dance move). I’m glad he loves learning so much
Hyrum made these Pokémon creatures out of paper all by himself! It was completely his ideas, too! I think he did awesome!
I thought Ivy was too old for mittens at this age, but she really, really likes to scratch her face and eyes and then cry about it!
The kids were practicing in primary a song to sing for Mother’s Day, and the primary chorister was telling the kids how they would be standing up on the stand singing to all the moms sitting in the audience. Sweet little Hyrum asked our primary chorister, “what about you? It’s your Mother’s Day song too!” and he was very concerned about her getting to enjoy her song
Hyrum had a fun run at school this month as their fundraiser. He raised a good amount of money and did awesome running his laps! I was glad Ivy and I got to be there to cheer him on!
Zane fell face first out of his stroller on our way home from preschool, and he was left with some big ol’ scabs:
We had a ward party for Cinco de Mayo, and the kids got to use some fun dress-ups!
Three kids with CF means this is our life twice a day:
Cora got a horse that her 18” doll can ride for her birthday. It was her favorite gift, I think, because that was all she played with for a few days. However, a month later, she tells me she no longer wants it because it scares her. I was trying to convince her that she did want the horse still by saying, “You know, when I was your age, I really wanted a horse like that and I never got one.”
She told me, “I’ll share mine; it can be both of ours!” She is such a sweet girl!
Zane has started to use different voices. He has a Batman voice, and then another voice he has started doing sometimes. He sure is our little comedian!
Here’s Ivy’s first smile I was able to get on camera!
Zane now carries these two little Paw Patrol toys everywhere, and even likes to sleep with them. He even wanted to take a picture of them, so here’s Zuma and Rocky:
Cora had pictures for her dance class, and I think she looks so cute in her little costume! Her dance is a tap dance to the song, “9 to 5.”
Here’s my Dad with his two youngest granddaughters:
Hyrum played soccer again this spring, and his team was actually pretty good! They won almost all of their games and were even invited to play in a tournament after the regular season was over! Hyrum has become pretty good on defense, and he even attempted to make a couple goals.
I had a pretty great Mother’s Day this year! Ryan bought me rainbow roses, the kids made me some cute things, and I got to spend Mother’s Day with my mom! I got to make her some breakfast and a yummy dinner. I sure love my mom!
The kids made some play-doh cobras and snakes:
Cora stuck her finger in her water cup and told me, “look! I’m baptizing my finger!”
Fun in a box:
Ivy’s first time on her play mat! I think she liked it:
Waiting in the car during Hyrum’s soccer practice:
Everyone loves to hold Ivy:
Me and my girls:
A triple hot dog:
I decided I wanted to try to recreate my pregnancy announcement photo with the baby that was announced, and here’s the best I got:
We took the kids to Cabela’s this month to get a cover for Ryan’s birthday present, and they enjoyed the stuffed animals and the shooting!
