We had a fun Christmas this year! Christmas Eve was a Sunday, and me, Ryan, and Hyrum got to sing in the ward choir for the Christmas program. Cora and I got to sing Mary’s Lullaby together (just us)- and she did such a great, adorable job! Ryan sang a duet of “What Child is This?” and did awesome too! Singing in the choir made us feel the spirit so strongly testifying of the reality of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
That evening we had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of homemade pretzels, plus some meats and cheeses, picnic-style under the Christmas tree. Then we acted out the nativity, with Cora as Mary, Ryan as Joseph/narrator, Hyrum as a wise man, Zane as an angel, Ivy as a shepherd, and me as a shepherd/narrator:
We then opened our Christmas Eve gifts of matching pajamas and ornaments. Hyrum got a baptism ornament, Cora got a Belle ornament, Zane got a Paw Patrol ornament, and Ivy got a First Christmas ornament. Ryan and I picked out our ornament at Yellowstone this summer
There was a quite a haul this year!
Zane got a shopping cart from Santa:
Cora got a dollhouse (bigger than her) from Santa:
Hyrum got his own computer from Santa:
Hyrum and Cora each got bigger bikes:
Ivy got Tobbles from Santa (but was really not into gift opening, so the older kids opened all her presents):
Some of the gifts- a mermaid blanket:

We then had a yummy breakfast, we all played with our new things, the kids and Ryan went sledding, then we had a delicious dinner of chateubriand, mashed potatoes, rolls, cranberry-pepita salad, and peppermint bark cheesecake.
We ended the night with our traditional Christmas light scavenger hunt, and it was really a magical experience with all the pretty lights and the snow:
